Female Entrepreneurs invited to training on ‘Digitizing businesses’

The Division of Science Technology and Innovation (DSTI) under the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, in partnership with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CISR), Southern Africa Network for Biosciences (SANBio), African Union Development Agency – New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD) and Finnish-Southern African Partnership Programme (BioFISA II), are conducting a weeklong training for the Female entrepreneurs in Biotechnology Businesses (FemBioBiz). The training will take place at the Care House Victoria between 12 to 16 and then 26 September.
SBS LABORATORY RECEIVES TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR ACCREDITATION OF COCONUT OIL TESTING

The Seychelles Bureau of Standards is inviting the media for an interview with an expert providing technical assistance to help SBS in its preparation to achieve accreditation for coconut oil testing.
The interview will take place at 10 am at SBS laboratory on Friday 5 August at Standards House, Providence.
As Coconut oil is considered as a priority product of Seychelles and have export potentials, the bureau has embarked on a process of building up capacity for testing of coconut oil and accreditation of tests for coconut oil. Once a laboratory is accredited, the laboratory test report issued will facilitate the industry to access international market.
Funding and Financial Awareness Workshop

Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA), an entity of the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry will be conducting a Funding and Financial Awareness workshop at the STC Conference Room on 5 August 2022.
The objective of the workshop is to increase education and sensitization on financial resources available for businesses, such as loans and grants. Several financial institutions and MDAs will be in attendance such as Seychelles Commercial Bank, DBS, ABSA, Nouvobanq, SNYC and others.
Minister for Finance and Minister for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry to visit Zones 6 and 20 today Monday 1 August

The Minister for Finance Mr Naadir Hassan and the Minister for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, Mrs Devika Vidot, accompanied by their own delegations will visit zones 6 and 20 today Monday 1 August from 3pm.
The meeting point for the visits will be at the Leve Debrouye Building at Providence.
WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Official Opening of the MIEI Praslin Office on Friday 29 July

Facilitating ease of doing business, creating an impactful investment and entrepreneurship framework, streamlining and digitalizing services are the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry’s core objectives. Ultimately to achieve these, there is a need to consistently deliver excellent service and bring our services closer to the public and customers we serve, including those located on the inner and outer islands.
Noting this importance, the Ministry of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry (MIEI) is officially opening its office on Praslin on Friday 29 July between 10am to 11am.
